Senior Android Developer (September 2023 - Present)

  • Helped the team become a true cross-platform team by driving the adoption of Kotlin Multiplatform, enabling Android and iOS developers to collaborate on shared logic and features instead of working in silos.
  • Worked on the Vriendenloterij and Nationale Postcode Loterij apps, where we introduced a Server-Driven UI for faster iteration and built a UI component library in Jetpack Compose Multiplatform based on the brand’s design system to ensure a consistent user experience.

  • Worked on the ANWB roadtrip and roadside assistance app, improving current functionalities, adding new features with Jetpack Compose and fixing bugs.
  • Improved the routing and navigation functionality with Mapbox to include fuel stations and charging points and toll costs along routes.

Android Developer (August 2020 - December 2022)

  • Rebuilt the customer journey for mobile onboarding to incorporate multiple products ING offers that could be used in multiple different countries.
  • The onboarding journey was made available to implement in multiple apps as a separate module which could be integrated in any of the apps ING has. The banking app for the Netherlands was the first consumer, and it was planned that Belgium and Luxembourg would also start using it.
  • Closely worked with different backend teams to specify and design API calls that would fit the security and usage needs of the journey.
  • Acted as a blue security champion responsible for doing secure code reviews before releases of the different modules used in the Dutch banking app and for the releases of the banking app itself.

  • Added new features and implemented a complete redesign of the dashboard for the Schiphol Android app.
  • Users can search for arriving and departing flights and save them so they can be updated on the progress of the flight.
